Dear Friends, a big life change for me I want to share… May 29th 2019

In 1985, when I was 21 years old, Steve Jobs, as Co-Founder of Apple was fired. Thirty-four years later, on May 21, 2019, as Co-Founder of Ascent Real Estate, I, Ken Pecus, was fired from Ascent Real Estate! How’s them for Apples and dissenting! Yup, make no mistake, it sucked. Yet, in 1985 Steve Jobs said,

“I was lucky, I learned what I love to do early in life”.

I repeat what he said then and add to it today, I am lucky, I have learned what I love to do early in life, who I want to surround myself with, and who I want to help make all their dreams and hopes come true. Maybe, more on this at a later time… But, first the more important stuff.

Today after a week of intense discussions with some of the finest real estate minds and heads of companies in San Diego, I have accepted a position with Pacific Sotheby’s International Realty. For those of you in San Diego, the name should immediately resonate with excellence and brand recognition. Actually for those of you anywhere in the world, Sotheby’s is recognized as the highest stature for client satisfaction, transaction success, and industry respect. I spent a great deal of time with the CEO and Regional Manager discussing the company goals, outlook, and philosophy as I wanted to associate with a firm that is completely aligned with my ideals. In Pacific Sotheby’s, I have found that firm. I have no intention of just associating with a firm for my own success. It will be my desire to put all my efforts into the success of the firm and all others associated with Pacific Sotheby’s.

So now it is time for a BRAND (new) adventure. I am beyond motivated and excited. I know many people will wonder how this could have happened, but the fact is, Life happens. Tommy and I are two of the most fortunate individuals in the world. We share an incredible bond, love, and connection with each other; we have the best supportive families any two people could ask for, and our friends and colleagues are the pinnacle of loving support. For this and so much more, we thank you and give gratitude every day. There will be upcoming press releases, but so many of you have been with me on my journey for a long time, I wanted to let you know myself. Here’s to a good life for everyone!

P.s. and despite all that… 30 hours later, DestinationUnknown went forward…. flawlessly I might add!
